Edgar Tito

Edgar

Edgar is from Lima, Perú, and makes wooden instruments. His father started the business when Edgar was a child, and passed the art of making flutes along to his son. Edgar says: “since childhood I have been in this world of artisan goods.” About eight years ago, Edgar opened a small store in a market in Lima. Currently, he works with about 20 artisans around the city who make various products and instruments for his store. In addition, he often travels to other South American countries for artisan fairs or to look for clients. Edgar says that while it is often tiring to travel, he is motivated by the prospect of selling his goods and expanding the business. Edgar says that his dream is “to travel to other countries and to form a small business in Perú”. He has two young daughters: Marilyn, one and one half years old, and Joselin, three years old.
