Courtney Kubly has retail in her blood! For over 20 years, she held various roles within an International Corporate Retail chain traveling across the country assisting with new store openings and training store teams. 

After stepping away from her leadership position at a big box retail store, she found Ten Thousand Villages, where she would serve as Store Director for 4 years. Courtney oversaw the entire operation of the 26 year old store that was facing years of negative sales growth, and took it to a 30% annual revenue increase in less than 2 years. She used creative and inexpensive tactics to market the store and its products, connecting to new shoppers weekly. 

In May of 2022, Courtney accepted the position of Director of Business Development for Downtown South Bend Inc., a local nonprofit working alongside the City of South Bend to support the downtown business community comprised of over 400 businesses. She oversees various projects that stimulate economic growth, grant funding and relationship building. In her free time she mentors women and minority small business owners, is active on 5 local nonprofit boards, advocates as a CASA volunteer for kids in foster care, and sometimes gets to spend time with her husband and 2 rescue dogs.
