Aluminum Inlay Earrings-Reconstituted Tagua

Leftover bits of tagua are made into a resin to create these earrings. Polished aluminum is inlaid by hand.  The wood used in some of the earrings is called Chonta, and is sustainably harvested.

The Ecuadorian Panpipe dates back at least 2000 years.  Made of varying lengths of cane or bamboo tied together in a row-it is called rondador, after the night watchmen who played the instrument on their rounds.
